Description: Desendant of Moses & Susanna Bennett ----John Bennet married Mary Vint - He was a brother to Rueben Bennett- George Bennett, Clem Bennett.
Andrew Dice Bennett, age 78, of Petersburg, formerly of Cherry Grove, WV passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. He was born on Hunting Ground, WV on October 27, 1932 the son of the late Clem Enders (12-6-1989) and Nora Kate Lambert Bennett (1945). Andrew married Lucy Wimer Arbaugh Bennett who survives in Petersburg. He retired from West Virginia Division of Highways and attended North Fork Church of the Brethren and Hunting Ground School.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Bennett is survived by: a son, Douglas Bennett of Harrisonburg, VA; 2 step sons, David M. Arbaugh of Fulks Run and Luther Arbaugh of Broadway, VA; 3 step daughters, Robbie Riggleman of Burlington, WV, Sudie Marie Selmon of Cherry Grove, WV, Nola Thomas of Morningside, MD; 4 sisters, Cathaline Dean of Harrisonburg, Hazel C. Taylor of Beverly, WV, Lillian Thompson of Bartow, WV, and Luna Lee Hagy of Franklin, WV; a brother Elmer Bennett of Franklin; 14 Grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by: a son, Aron and a daughter, Mary.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 7-9 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Rev. A. Stanley Kile will officiate funeral services on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
