FAIRMONT —
Marvin R. Snyder, 66, of Robinson Run, Rivesville, died Monday (April 19, 2010) at his residence.
Marvin was born Oct. 2, 1943, in Elkins, the son of the late Burton Burl and Clara Leary Snyder. Marvin was a U.S. Army veteran having fought in the Vietnam War. He formerly worked in Grant Town and Federal No. 1 mines and was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Betty Cottrell Snyder of Robinson Run; one daughter, Teresa Darling Carter of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Lysette Danielle and Joshua Aaron McKinney; three great-grandchildren, Quinton, Lanai and Zanai; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Daisy and Jim Stickles of Lakeland, Pa., and Wilma Egress of Rivesville; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Danny Ray and Cathy Snyder of Kentucky and Johnny Burton and Liz Snyder of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Tano, and three brothers, Burl Lewis, Harold D. and Ralph Burton Snyder.
Friends and family may call at Domico Funeral Home Curry Chapel in Fairview from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Evangelist Mike Reese officiating. Burial will follow at the Tennant Cemetery on Robinson Run.
