Hattie, Wilber, and Myrtle all lived together at the “old place” on the hill above Harman in the 1930’s according to Milton Lee Snyder, my dad. [Craig Cooper Snyder]
9Notes for WILBUR BLAINE COOPER:
Wilbur was assisting with an accident that had occured near his home. He was directing traffic around the scene when he was struck by a car that slide on the snowy road, and killed.
9Child of MYRTLE COOPER is:
27. i. TROY DEAN COOPER, Adopted child.
Notes for TROY DEAN COOPER:
Troy Dean's mother and father were Berta Viola Marshall (1900-1936) and Glenn Helmick (died 1999). He was adopted by Aunt Myrtle and raised by her and her sister Hattie. Troy Dean's twin brother Roy Gene, was adopted and raised by Harris Wilmouth Cooper and his wife, Bertha.
Note- The family revealed to me that Wilbur Blaine Cooper was Troy Deans' and Roy Genes' actual father, the mother being Berta Viola Helmick, wife of Glenn Helmick. The boys are not identical twins. Both Roy Gene and Troy Dean were told this information. Both Glenn and Viola are buried in the Cooper Family Plot, on Cooper Road, in Harman. Since all the people involved have since passed away, except Gene, I make note of this information. Photo's of Troy Dean and Wilbur are very close in appearance. This is noted for information only and not meant to embarrass anyone, but merely stated as an event that makes up our family. Woody Rush
