----OROFINO The funeral for Roberta E. Gibbar of Clarkston, formerly of Pierce, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. Ed Silrum, retired, and the Rev. Timothy Solberg of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Lewiston officiating.

Burial will be at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the Weippe Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Gibbar, 68, died Monday at Tri-State Convalescent Center at Clarkston of rheumatic heart disease.
She and her husband, Francis E. Gibbar, lived for many years at Pierce, where he drove logging and lumber trucks. They also lived for short periods of time in other Northwest locations.
She was involved in school, church and community projects and was employed for many years by the Pierce Post Office.
The Gibbars moved to Lewiston in 1980, and to Clarkston in 1989. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Lewiston, Orchards Ettes garden club and the Lewiston Senior Citizens.
She was born June 19, 1922, at Pierce, to Robert and Esther Olson Dinnison. She grew up on a farm between Weippe and Pierce and graduated from Weippe High School in 1940. She attended Lewiston Normal School for one semester, then was employed for a short time at the old Burns Hospital at Orofino. She married Gibbar Dec. 7, 1941, at Lewiston.
He survives at the family home at Clarkston. Also surviving are a son, Richard Gibbar of Lewiston; two sisters, Mildred Musselman of Lewiston and Jeanette Allen of Pierce; and two grandchildren.
