Curtis Maxwell Bonner, 78, of Canaan Valley, passed away Sept. 13, 2012, in Garret County Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1934, a son of the late Solomon Victor and Oda Kate Teter Bonner.
Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by one son, Eric Bonner; two brothers, Hobert and Howard; and five sisters, Maysel, Alta, Pauline, Opal and Ruby. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen Smith Bonner; two sons, Curtis (Robin) Bonner of Davis and Quentin (Becky) Bonner of Spartanburg, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Katherine, Sarah, Kristen and Jacob.
Mr. Bonner was a carpenter and was self-employed as Bonner Construction. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and his family.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Monday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Dennis Leatherman officiating. Interment to follow in Buena Cemetery.
