Vervie L. Lambert, 77, a member of a pioneer family in Harman, died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 in the Memorial General Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past two months. He was born on Aug. 24, 1903, in Pendleton County, a son of the late Kennison and Rebecca Eye Lambert. His wife, the former Dressie Arbogast, preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1970. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Mildred) Parsons, Harman, and Mrs. Fred (Rea) Wolford, Scio, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Edith Starks, Thornwood; one brother, Tracy Lambert, Cherry Grove; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One sister proceded him in death. Mr. Lambert was a woodsman and had worked for the Forestry Service for over 20 years. He was a Penecostal by faith. F. E. Runner Funeral Home was in charge.
