Squire Grant commanded a company from Kenton Co., Ky., in the War of 1812. He also probably took part in the Battle of Blue Licks (Revolution), as the name Squire Grant is given in a list of those who escaped, Aug. 1782. He was a State Senator from Boone Co., Ky., 1901.
