Shawn Paul Carr, 47, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, with his family at his side. He went to be with his beloved grandfather and grandson.
Shawn was born July 13, 1967, in Lewiston, and grew up in the Weippe area. His early childhood included spending time at the Carr Ranch on Upper Fords Creek, camping with his family and riding motorcycles.
Shawn loved spending time outdoors, including hunting, fishing, camping and riding all-terrain vehicles. He invested much of his time teaching his children, and others around him, how to enjoy these activities and be self-sufficient.
Always looking out for his family, Shawn was a hard worker. You could always rely on him for help when
needed.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Tessie; children Scott, Aaron, Tanisha Earl (Bandy), Chance and Moriah; grandchildren Logan and Brittany; parents Chester and Levita Carr and siblings Dorinda, Brent, LaRae, Danae and Lynette.He was loved by numerous friends and family.
Shawn was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Carr; sister Clella Carr; and grandson Dylan Roland Carr.
Shawn was loved by many family members and friends and will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Pine Hills Funeral Home in Orofino. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same funeral home, followed immediately by a celebration of life.
