Notes for Vergia S. “Vergie” Snyder
several years after husband’s death, moved to Orofino in 1964
Vergie was a farm wife all of her life in the Fraser area west of Weippe, Idaho. The farm that she and her husband, Jerry Morris Perkins, owned was the original Snyder homestead that was their wedding gift. She gave birth to seven children, six of whom lived to old age. Vergie moved to Orofino, Idaho in later years and spent the last of her life there.

Vergie was my grandmother on my mother's side. She was a farm wife most of her life in the Fraser area west of Weippe, Idaho. The farm that she and her husband, Jerry Morris Perkins, owned was the original Snyder homestead that was their wedding gift. She gave birth to seven children, six of whom lived to old age. Vergie had no middle name. Some genealogies have her name spelled incorrectly as Vergia. Others give her the incorrect middle initial of S.
