Winslow Hensley was born ca 1809/10 (per his age on the 1850 census of 40). He was born somewhere in Virginia, probably Orange County where his parents were at that time.
Winslow Hensley is almost certainly a son of
Cedar Hensley and Winnifred Thompson, but I have no direct proof of that. They did have a son his age with them for the 1820, 1830 and 1840 census, and he was a next door neighbor to Winny in 1850. That doesn't prove they are his parents, but it strongly suggests it.
Winslow would have been about 9 or 10 for the 1820 census. Cedar Hensley had a male under 10 (born ca 1810/20) with him that year in Orange Co., VA.
Winslow would have been about 19 or 20 for the 1830 census. Winny had two males with her aged 20-29 (c1800/10) that year with her in Pendleton Co., VA.
In 1840 Winslow would have been about 29 or 30. Winny had two boys aged 30-39 (c1800/10) with her in Pendleton Co., VA that year.
On 19 Mar 1847 Winslow Hensley obtained a marriage bond in Pendleton Co., VA (now WV) to marry
Malinda Helmick. Enos Helmick was bondsman. He must be her brother for he made an oath that he saw Malinda's mother Barbara Helmick sign her consent to the marriage. Winslow Hensley signed the marriage bond with a mark.
Malinda Helmick was born ca 1830/31 per her age on the 1850 census. She was born somewhere in Virginia, perhaps Pendleton County (now WV). She is a daughter of a Mr. Helmick and Barbara (---). (Barbara, apparently widowed, is listed on the 1850 census in Pendleton Co., VA).
By 1850 they had moved into neighboring Randolph County and are listed there on that census next door to Winslow's widowed mother.

Winslow Hensley died sometime between 1850 and 1852, presumably in Randolph Co., VA (WV).
On 17 Jul 1852
Henry Simmons obtained a marriage bond in Pendleton Co., VA (WV) to marry Malinda Hensley. Abel Wilfong was bondsman. They were married on 25 Jul 1852 in Pendleton Co., VA (WV).
Malinda and her new husband are on the 1860 census in Pendleton. I didn't attempt to trace her beyond this.
Children of Winslow Hensley and Malinda Helmick. They don't seem to have had any children. Malinda had children with her second husband Henry Simmons: Barbara E. (c1854), George W. (c1856), Benjamin W. Simmons (c1858) and perhaps others.
