Obituary:
Salem Elza Dies Here this Morning At Age 80 Years
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Salem Elza, 80, retired farmer of Whitmer, who died this morning at 3:55 o'clock in a local hospital.
Mr. Elza was born Dec. 13, 1875, at Harman, a son of the late Solomon and Virginia White Elza. He is survived by one son, Carl of Whitmer, and seven daughters, Mrs. Floda Teter of Aurora; Mrs. Flossie Thompson, Mrs. Ethel Tingler and Mrs. Jesse Warner of Whitmer; Mrs. Josie Long of Newark, Ohio; Mrs. Monna Wahl of Accident, Md.; and Mrs. Donna Cottrell of Marlingon. Also one sister, Mrs. Alice White of Whitmer. There are 43 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
The remains will be removed to the family residence in Whitmer Saturday afternoon by the F.E. Runner Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the Elza Cemetery.
