Notes for Baxter Edmenson
. . . .Baxter Edmenson of Oregon remembers as a child when his Grandfather came to stay a few days with Harvey and Tallhassie Edmenson.
Harvey bought a new cow which he was proud of. Harvey took Adonijah out to the barn to look her over and show his father-in-law what a good deal he made. The snow was about four feet deep in the pasture. The cow was in the barn area. They got out to the barn and, Harvey went in to get his pride and joy. The cow was a little spooky she took off out of the barn on a dead run. As Harvey didn't want the cow to get away, when she passed he grabbed her tail. The cow kept on going as Harvey was running with the tail in his hands. Then she kind of made a sharp turn to the right and that picked Harvey up off his feet and threw him in the air and he landed in snow which covered his whole body. Adonijah was standing and watching this and started to laugh. Adonijah kept laughing so hard he fell over in the snow as he was laughing.
