Here is her mother's obituary. Notice that Zula's name is spelled Zulla, which is the same spelling as the SSDI. Her name is Silla in the 1910 census index.
OBITUARY - Parsons Advocate, October 25, 1945:
"Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Flanagan Hill Church, Red Creek, by the Rev. George C. Stratton, pastor of the Thomas-Davis Methodist Churches, for Mrs.
Virginia Catherine Cooper, 70, who died at her home there Saturday following a lingering illness.
She was born in Pendleton County on Aug. 22, 1875, a daughter of the late Frank and Rebecca Teter Bennett. On Oct. 22, 1896, she married Arbraham (sic) Cooper, who survives along with the following sons and daughters: Eston Cooper, Brooks Cooper, of Harman; and Mrs. Zulla Pennington, Dry Fork.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two of whom are in the armed forces and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was on of family of ten girls, six of whom are still living. They are Mrs. J. B. Lambert Jr., and Mrs. Lena Aberle of Red Creek; Mrs. Alta Silber, Accident; Mrs. Bertha DeVilder, Parsons; Mrs. Cora Silber, Frostburg, Md.; and Mrs. Chloe Flanagan, Bellburn, W. Va.
Interment was in the church cemetery at Red Creek."
