897George Queen, a farmer, was a private and the Civil War. He enlisted in Company C, 31st regiment of Virginia volunteers on May 21, 1861. He deserted on June 3, 1861 but later re-enlisted.he served under General Stonewall Jackson as a member of the original Stonewall Brigade.
