269It sounds like we are in the same family line. I know the names of Carr and Bonner have always been mentioned as distant relatives.
Denver Snyder lived in Weippe, ID. He married Sylvia Teed. They had 8 children. Mary, Robert, Ellis, Burt, Louie, Marie, Floyd, and Lilly. Only Marie, Floyd, and Lilly are still living. My father was Louie. He passed away in 1999. Out of all of those boys, only Floyd and Burt had sons to pass the Snyder name on to, and they only had one son each.
All except Mary, the children stayed in Idaho, pretty close to where they were born and raised.
From what my Dad told me, his father, Denver, died at a young age. I think he was around 45. My dad was only 14. His mother died only a few years later so their "Granny Teed" raised the family.
This Snyder family came from Elgin [Elkins], W.V. The county was Dryfork.
[probably means Dryfork area in Randolph Co., West Virginia . . . near Elkins?? ccs]
