William Christopher Pritchard, a son of Christopher and Sarah (Gollothan) Pritchard, was born about 1745 in Prince William County VA and died June 18, 1777 in a skirmish in the American Revolution in Maryland. He married Amelia Knotts.
Christopher enlisted as a private in Captain Alexander Lawson Smith's Company, commanded by Colonel Daniel Morgan, of the 11th VA Militia July 23, 1776. He was killed in Maryland June 18, 1777. Amelia (Knotts) Pritchard may have died in childbirth or shortly after, since she is not found in either VA or MD records after the birth of their son.
