Franklin--Pinkney J. Nelson, 85, of Franklin, died Friday in Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins.
Born in Circleville, April 24, 1877, he was a son of the late Jacob and Mahulda (Raines) Nelson.
He is survived by eight sons, Hayden Nelson, Hagerstown; Jacob Nelson, Bastian, Va.; Hansel Nelson and Paul Nelson, both of Circleville; Glenn Nelson, of Davis, W. Va.; George Nelson and John, both of Elkins; and Pinkney J. Nelson, Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Wilfong, Roanoke and Mrs. Cynthia Warner, Blue Grass, Va., and 25 grandchildren.
The body will be at the Brown Funeral Home here until 5 p.m. today and will then be taken to the home of Mrs. Cynthia Warner, Blue Grass.
