My name is Audra and am new to the list.
I am a descendent of Thornton Norman and Elizabeth Boyce (Great great great Grandparents)
Then my great great grandparents were Francis and Mary Norman.
My great were James Thornton Norman and Blanche Hella (Jordan) Norman
My grandfather was Leotis Norman.
Any connections with anyone?

It appears that my lineage does not line up with anyone on here. I can not
get back any further than Thornton Norman born VA about 1825. He married
Elizabeth. Their son Francis was my great great grandpa. He married a Mary E and
they had a son named James Thornton Norman. James Thornton Norman married
Blanche Hella Jordan. How do I figure out where the family came from prior to VA
or even more information in VA? How do I figure out who Thornton's parents
were? Any help would be appreciated.
Are we a lone Norman sect?
