A Surprise Party
On January 25, 1933, a host of friends gathered at the home of Mr. Virgil O. Hinkle and gave him a surprise birthday party in honor of his 32nd birthday.
At eight o'clock the table was set in the dining room and there was a nice cake all covered with thirty-two beautiful candles. Also pie, cake, pickles and candy were served.
Mr. Hinkle gave us a short talk on spiritual potentcy by which we leave our spiritual impress upon our friends and associates, and in return they leave their impress upon us.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Don Burns and children, Pauline, Mildred, Anna Jean, Charles and Curtis, Mrs. Attie Kile and daughter Margie, Mrs. Mary Sponaugle and daughter, Evelyn, Irving Hinkle, Ralph Bland, George Helmick, Robert Bennett, Patrick W. Thompson, Carson Wimer, H.J. Burns, Watson Raines, Minor Elza and Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Bland.
Games were played and everybody had a good time, and at 12 o'clock they all went home wishing Mr. Hinkle many more happy birthdays.
