Hello, I just came across your web site while searching my wife's genealogy. Although we are apparently not family connected, it would appear your ancestors shared a lot of time and space with my and my wifes ancestors. my ggggg-grandfather was Richard Wade who married Judith Hancock and was captured with Boone at the licks, Judith's brothers William and Stephen were in Boonesborough as well and of course Stephen's children married into the Cooper family. My wife's gggggrandfater was Chesley Callaway, brother to Flanders, James and Micajah. Chesley was only at the fort for a short while, but stated on his pension application that he was there when Boone and the saltmakers were captured. We might be of assistance to each other with our genealogy research. I was at Arrow Rock in October, just across the Missouri River from the old Coopers Fort. Thanks for the site.
