Funeral Tomorrow for Jesse Bennett
Cortland - Funeral services for Jesse S. Bennett, 57, of 53 Grant Street, who died yesterday at his home after an illness of several months, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Beard Memorial Home with Rev. Arden L. Reed, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiating.
Born, Dec. 15, 1891 in West Virginia, he was the son of Minor H. and the late Rebeccah Bennett. Coming to Cortland about five years ago, he was formerly employed by the State Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cleda (Hinkle) Bennett; two daughters, Mrs. Harold White of Truxton and Mrs. Lewis Smith of Cortland; four sons, Owen, Boyd, Harold and Carl Bennett all of Cortland; his father, Minor H. Bennett of Circleville, WV; four sisters, Mrs. Hamen Nelson of Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Reed Wimer of VA, Mrs. Preston Hedrick of West Virginia and Mrs. Therassa Gregory of Neward, O. and two brothers, Clinton and Virgil both of Circleville, WV.

Mrs. Cleda l. Bennett
Cortland - Mrs. Cleda L. Bennett, 71, of Ceda Street, Cortland, died Saturday morning in Moravia after a long illness. She was born June 5, 1904 in Circleville, WV.
She is survived by four sons; Owen, Voyd, Harold and Carl Bennett all of Cortland; two daughter, Mrs. Louis Smith of Cortland and Mrs. Harold White of Truxton; a brother, Carson Hinkle of Cuyler; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Van Dusen of Truxton, Mrs. Mary Greene of Groton and Mrs. Jesse Miller of Cortland. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
