Came to this country --- to Germantown, Pa and then to Maryland. Came from Germany because they were followers of Menno Simons (Mennonites) and were being persecuted. Isaacs came, prepared place for his parents and rest of family. Soon, all had emigrated. Among emigrants was Herman op den Graff who marri


Life: Isaacs came to America (to Germantown, PA) to escape religious persecution in Germany. He came to prepare a way from his parents and the rest of his family, who soon followed. The family were followers of Menno Simons (Mennonites). Another person who emigrated at this time (abt 1684) was Herman op den Graff, who married 2 of Isaacs' sisters...
