They had five children: Nancy, William, Mahala, Calvin, and Andrew Jackson Jr., who was born almost 7 months after his father's death. Andrew Sr. was reportedly "killed in the Civil War." I have not yet determined if he was a soldier or if he was killed by bushwackers (like his brother John Carter and brother-in-law Hugh Brown).
