William Bonner. Born in 1783 in Hampshire Co., WV.17 William died on 13 Dec 1857; he was 74. According to "History of the Lambert and Bonner Families" by Oscar Doane Lambert, William reared his family in Hardy County, then moved to the Cheat River Valley and built a mill where the town of Parsons now stands.
On 11 Nov 1802 when William was 19, he married Jamima Carr.

506The records reveal that William Bonner, Jr, was born in 1776 in Hampsire County [later Hardy Co. - 1786] and died December 13, 1857, in Blackfork District, Tucker County. After rearing his family in Hardy County he transferred his residence to the Cheat River Valley and built a mill where the town of Parsons now stands. Here he resided till burdened with old age when he moved to the "Surveys" along the Dry Fork, Tucker County. At his home here he passed away in his 81st year. His grandson, Seymour Bonner with whom the author talked had a vivid memory of his grandfather. He described him as being stocky in stature, reserved, voice low and positive, and opinions well considered and fundamental.
William Bonner married Jamima Carr (KARR) , daughter of John Carr. Their marriage was performed in Randolph County on November 11, 1802, by Robert Maxwell. They reared a family of ten children whose names and years of birth were as follows: Katherine (Kitty), 1810; Ann, 1812; Hannah,1813; Samuel, 1814; Hettie, 1817; Phoebe, 1820; Archibald, 1822; Jemima, 1823; Solomon, 1824;and william 1829. Hardy County was not formed till 1786.
The Carr family is of German descent. George Carr (KARR) arrived in Phildadlphia from Germany, November 8, 1752. The choldren of Enoch and Christiene Carr were John, Abner, Martha, Elizabeth, Sarah, Solomon, Hannah, Edmond and Jamima.
