263Page 228, HISTORY OF THE LAMBERT FAMILT,
"The chief hunting ground for Archibald Bonner was the pineclad Canaan Valley. There he made his camp, and watched the lick by night, and followed the trail by day. "I killed more than 500 deer, about 100 bears besides small game beyond measure," he said. However, he used chiefly his natural talents for his fellowman and gave his name to a mountain.*"
((Footnote *)) "* Bonner Mountain named for Archibald Bonner, stands in the northeastern section of Randolph County, West Virginia."

Sketch of Archibald Bonner, on page 227 of HISTORY OF THE LAMBERT FAMILY, "The subject of this sketch was the son of William and Jamima (Carr) Bonner. He was born on the old Bonner Plantation in Hardy (now Grant) County. While in his youth his father moved to Alum Hill in the Cheat River Valley as agent for Daniel McNeil, who owned 1800 acres that Bonner supervised."

WV Vital Research Records has an Elizabeth Bonner, widow, died 7 Nov 1906, Tucker Co., WV, age 74 yrs, 9 mos, 15 days, which my handy dandy date calculator says is a birth date of 23 Jan 1832. She died of heart trouble and the death was reported by B. A. Harman. Does anyone know who this Elizabeth Bonner is? The only person I have who comes close to this date is Elizabeth Roy married to Archibald Martin Bonner.
