At the salutation is,"Mr. Doan Lambert",
"Dear Nephew,
I will try and answer your letters I recieved and would have answered sooner but have been on the ranch and kept pretty close on the account of Mark. He fell last March, and dislocated his hip, and cannot walk yet. And I am not stout anymore but I do my cooking.
Chas. is with us yet, he never got married. Russell, Harman, Flarnie, and Minnie, live in Weippe. Mary lives in Lewiston, Idaho.
I will tell you all I can about our grandfather. I think he came from Ireland. There was one brother that came with him, and when they got across, they got separated and never heard from each other again. I think his name is Samuel. Grandma was Jimmie Carr's aunt. He was Solomon Carr's son. Grandma had three brothers, Ely, Solomon, and Abner.
