Bud is survived by his wife, Charlotte, whom he married Nov. 19, 1949 in Orofino, his son Ron and daughter-in-law Karen, grandson Tom and great-grandson Tyler, all of Potlatch, and sister Dorothy Merry of Spokane, WA.
Bud graduated Weippe High School in 1942. He later joined the Army Combat Engineers, serving in the Philippine Campaign and the Occupation Forces in Japan.
Following his return he worked for Schmidt Brothers Lumber Company, served as Weippe Chief of Police, and worked as a warden for the Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protection Agency, retiring in 1987. The family is grateful to the doctors and staff of CVH for their care and support and asks that donations be made to the CVH Foundation or charity of your choice.
