Daniel was married twice 1st wife unknown.2nd.wife was Nancy Jane Willis.
I have been corresponding with John F. Maddox of Springfield MO about our Maddox line. His line is:
Daniel>William>John W.> Andrew J.> and then Ercil Andrew.
He gave me the wording on Dan Maddox' tombstone which changes what I had for his year of birth and gives month of death, which I didn't have. It says: "Dan Maddox died Jan. 24, 1823, aged 67 years", according to him. Herb, does this agree with the way you read it when you saw the stone? If this is correct, he probably was 67 in 1822 which makes a year of birth of 1755.
Nancy's says:"Nancy consort of Dan Maddox died Feb. 6, 1855, aged 81 years".
This puts her year of birth as 1773, probably.
