Annie Coker Boone was the daughter of Susan Keyes and Benjamin Howard Boone of Gainesville, Texas. Annie had several children siblings. James, John and Benjamin Howard Boone, Jr. are three of them. Annie was the only one to outlive her parents.

On the 1900 US Census for Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas, Annie is enumerated in the household of her parents. Along with her is her husband, Robert Dickens, a house painter. They married in 1900. Their son, Bennie Lucian Dickens, was born in 1901.

Annie and Robert eventually moved to California. Their son, Bennie Lucian Dickens, appeared on the 1920 US Census for Gainesville in the household of his grandparents. Susan and Benjamin Howard Boone. It is unknown if he joined the parents.
