DEATH RESULTS FROM CAR CRASH AT CIRCLEVILLE
Mrs. Unie Jane Nelson Killed Instantly Last Sunday Afternoon
Mrs. Unie Jane Stump Nelson, about 65, wife of Claude Nelson of near Riverton, was
instantly killed Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock near Circleville when the pickup truck
in which she was riding crashed head-on into a car operated by a man by the name of
Raines, according to the sheriff of Pendleton county at Franklin.
Returning From Circleville
Mrs. Nelson and her son, who was driving, were returning home from Circleville when the crash occurred, the sheriff said. None of the other occupants of the truck were injured in the collision, he added. Both machines were badly damaged.
No charges have been placed against Raines and the sheriff's office is continuing the
investigation to determine ownership of the car involved in the crash. Mrs. Nelson's
husband operates a farm near Riverton.
