Eddie and JoAnn Cooper of Harman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 9 with a dinner for family and friends at the Dryfork Fellowship Center, Dryfork.
They were married July 1, 1961, at the Assembly of Good Church at Cabins by the Rev. Ira Moore.
Mr. Cooper is the son of the late Paul and Jane Cooper of Harman. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a construction worker and part-time farmer for 40 years and is still farming after retiring.
Mrs. Cooper is the daughter of the late Enoch and Lula Goldizen of Cabins. She was employed by Randolph County Schools for 25 years.
They are the parents of three children, Elecca and husband, Jeff Mallow, of Delaplane, Virginia; Douglas Cooper and wife, Delinda, of Elkins; and Julie and husband, Clint Ketterman, of Harman. They also have six grandchildren, Jessica and Tyler Mallow, Sarah and Jacob Cooper and Gage and Gunnar Ketterman.
