Mary J. Cooper
Mary Jane Cooper, 88, a resident of Harman, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 1, 1916, at Elkhorn, the daughter of the late William C. and Anna Belle Ryan Snow.
On Dec. 30, 1937, she was married to Paul Jacob Cooper, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1997.
Surviving are three sons, Paul Edward Cooper of Harman, Michael Perry Cooper of Petersburg and Nathan Smith Cooper of Kingwood; one daughter, Nancy Lou Pennington of Kingwood; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were four half brothers, John, Clarence, Walter and Romey Snow; two sisters, Mabel Davis and Agnes Davis; and two half sisters, Ethel Jarvis and Gertrude Anderson.
Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of the Harman Church of the Brethren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Harman Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the church with the Rev. John Moyers officiating. Interment will follow in the Snyder Cemetery near Harman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harman Church of the Brethren, Women’s Organization in Harman, in memory of Mrs. Cooper. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Jane Cooper.  From 15 Oct 2004.
