497Funeral services were conducted Friday, Sept. 23, at 2 p. m, in the chapel of Spiggle-Hinkel Funeral Home in Davis for Sturley Bonner, who died Tuesday, Sept. 20 at his home in Gladwin. The Rev. Alvin Knaggy of Wymer, officiated and burial was in the Brights Chapel Cemetery, near Elk.
Mr. Bonner was born at Red Creek Feb 28, 1894, a son of the late Martin Vanburen and Jane Bonner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iva Smith Bonner; eight sons, Ralph Bonner of Alexandria Va., Thomas and Norman Bonner of Alpena, Raymond Bonner of Irwig Pa, Jackson and Theodore Bonner of Massillon Oh., Allen and George Bonner of Washington; one brother Casper Bonner of Red Creek; three half brothers, Bernie Bonner of Gaithersburg, W.Va., Clifford Bonner of Mantua Oh., and Ernest Bonner of Hendricks; seven half sisters, Mrs. Goldie Stroble of Columbus Oh., Mrs. Thelma Coberly of Beverly, Mrs. Stella Feeney of Cumberland, Mrs. Pearl Simmons of St. Albans, W. Va., Mrs. Mabel Miller of Elk, Mrs. Freddie Rennet of Red Creek and Mrs. Delpha Flanagan of Lexington, Ky., 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bonner, who was a retired bookkeeper, was a Protestant by faith.

48George Winston Bonner, 58, of Gladwin, died Sept. 25, at home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Gladwin, a son of the late Sturley and Iva Winola Smith Bonner.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Fay Cargile Bonner whom he married in 1968, a son, Winston Durrand Bonner of Trion, GA; a daughter, Monica Fay Bonner of Powder Springs, GA; five brothers, Thomas Jackson, and Norman Bonner all of Gladwin, Theodore Bonner of Massillion, OH, Allen Bonner of Herndon, VA; two grandsons, Bray Durkel Bonner and Ethan Lee Jerkins; a granddaughter, Devan LaRose Bonner and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond D. and William R. Bonner.
Mr. Bonner was self employed as a carpenter. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Job Church of God.
Friends were received at the Job Church of God where services were held Sept. 28, with the Rev. Todd Rhodes officiating. Interment followed in the Brights Chapel Cemetery.
