Elizabeth Greenlee Van Bibber Smith, married second Richard Tillis of Mason County. Richard Tillis, was born January 16 1809, in Bedford County, Virginia, and died October 2 1891, in Mason County. He was a son of David and Sarah (Sinckler) Tillis of Bedford County, Virginia. The Tillis Family came to now Putnam County, after the 1815 death of David Tillis, in Bedford County. They first settled on land purchased by their
mother, Sarah, from John and Frances Oldaker, located near Oldaker's Mill on Eighteen Mile Creek. Richard and Elizabeth Tillis, were members of the Old Harmony Baptist Church of Leon, Mason County, West Virginia.
