Ray Boone, born July 27, 1923, was the patriarch in this baseball family. With a strong right arm, he took his place on the ball field playing as a catcher and moving out to an infield position eventually. Probably best known for being a third baseman that could connect with a bat as well. as Ray is sometimes called and wife Pat brought up their son to love the baseball diamond.
