Notes for Alma Mable (Spouse 1)
1497Alma moved to Southwick, Idaho by covered wagon at the turn of the century. After marrying Owen for a short time they operated a flour mill in Nebraska before they joined a five-wagon train headed for the far west. Grandma retained her lively interest in people and recalled her trip West as an ordeal and an adventure. The trip lasted three months. She settled with her parents on a homestead near holdings owned by her husband's brother and uncle. In 1916 she and Owen moved to the Fraser area. They homesteaded there and lived on their farm until his death in 1940. The following year she moved to Orofino, Idaho where she lived with her daughter Viola. At the time of her death she had 19 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Her death certificate states she died of Heart Disease and Coronary Occlusion.
