Parsons--Mrs. Rachel Gertrude Snyder, 65, of near Parsons, died yesterday morning in Tucker County Hospital after an illness of several months.
Born October 17, 1898, in Dry Fork, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late S. S. and Martha (Rader) Collins.
She was a member of the Parsons Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Oley Snyder, four sons, Delmar Snyder, RD 1, Hambleton; Virgil Snyder, USAF, Eglin AFB, Fla.; Kelley Snyder, Bristol, Pa., and Donald E. Snyder, Levittown, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Stonesiffer, Baltimore; Mrs. Eileen Walton, Riverside, N. J., and Mrs. Viola Kyle, Newark, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Esta Goldizen, Cumberland; Mrs. Ida McCabe, Levittown, Pa.; Mrs. Sarah Rexrode, Bristol, Va., and Mrs. Ruth Carr, LaVale, Md.; four brothers, John W. Collins, Cumberland; Jonas Collins, Oldtown; Max Collins, Alexandria, Va., and Emmett Collins, Carlisle, Pa., and 17 grandchildren.
The body will be at the Greenlief Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Roscoe Smith officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, near Thomas.
