Last Rites Held For Howard Ervin Roy
Funeral services for
Howard Ervin Roy, 52, of near Bayard, who died Tuesday night in Potomac Valley hospital, Keyser, were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Bethel church, 13 miles south of Davis. Interment was in the church cemetery.
A native of Dry Fork, Tucker county, Mr. Roy had resided near Bayard 25 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Bayard Pentecostal church.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Nina Florence (Pennington) Roy, he is survived by seven children, Raymond, Hetsel, Thomas, Marie, Hilda, Naomi, and Betty Jo Roy, all at home; a brother, Lenza Roy of Mackeysville, W. Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Davis of Parsons, and Mrs. Teter of Weston.
