1164Debbie Pennington Britner - Aug 28, 2008 Davis--Huey Helmick, 52, of Dry Fork, died Thursday in Winchester (Va.) Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1917 in Job, a son of Dayton and Eltha (Long) Helmick, Dry Fork.
He was a veteran of World War II
His suvivors, in addition to his parents, are one son, Thomas G Helmick, and two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Hoover and Mrs. Helen Rae, all of Winchester; four brothers, Earl and Denver Helmick, both of Delaware; Olie Helmick, Baltimore, and Gordon Helmick, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Vada Collins, Burlington, N.J. and Mrs. Beulah Crossland, Dry Fork, and one grandchild.
The body is at the Hinkle Funeral Home where friends will be received until noon today when it will be taken to the Riverside Mennonite Church near Harman for a 2 p.m. service. Rev. Melvin Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Pennington Cemetery near Harman.
