2341JOSEPHINE CATHERINE WHITE ROY, age 73 years, a native of Tucker County, WV and a resident of Bridgeport, WV departed this life Friday afternoon, July 18, 2008 at the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg, WV. 
She was born Thursday, January 10, 1935 at Dryfork, WV a daughter of the late Elmer White and Ritha Carr White. On July 9, 1952 at Elkins, WV she was married to Delbert D. Roy, who survives at Bridgeport. Also surviving are two sons, Roy Lee Roy, Bridgeport; David D. Roy, Elkins; one brother, Levi Shorty White and wife Mary, Keyser; one half sister, Gladys Calhoun, FL; and three grandchildren, Crystal D. Roy, Ben D. Roy and Daniel J. Roy, all of Elkins; 
Preceding her in death is one brother, Granvel White. 
She attended the schools of Parsons, WV was a Certified Nursing Assistant having retired from the Heritage Convalescent Home with thirty-three years of caring service in 2001. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Bridgeport, WV and loved gardening, flowers and cooking. She had a big heart and loved her family and friends and will be sadly missed by them. 
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 5 to 8 PM, Monday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 2 PM. Pastor Robert L. K. Toms will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.

Josephine Catherine White Roy, 73, a native of Tucker County, and a resident of Bridgeport, departed this life Friday afternoon, July 18, 2008, in United Hospital Center at Clarksburg, WV.
She was born Thursday, Jan. 10, 1935, at Dryfork, a daughter of the late Elmer White and Ritha Carr White.
On July 9, 1952, at Elkins, she was married to Delbert D. Roy, who survives at Bridgeport.
Also surviving are two sons, Roy Lee Roy of Bridgeport and David D. Roy of Elkins; one brother, Levi "Shorty" White and wife, Mary, of Keyser; one half sister, Gladys Calhoun of Florida; and three grandchildren, Crystal D. Roy, Ben D. Roy and Daniel J. Roy, all of Elkins;

Delbert Dean Roy, 80, a former resident of Parsons, but more recently a resident of Bridgeport, departed this life late Saturday evening, Feb. 25, 2012, in United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
He was born Friday, Nov. 20, 1931, at Parsons, a son of the late Wilbert Edgar and Jessie Virginia George Roy.
On July 9, 1952, at Elkins, he was married to the late Josephine Catherine White Roy.
Surviving are two sons, Roy Lee Roy of Bridgeport and David Dean "DR" Roy of Elkins; two brothers, Eugene Loren Roy and wife, Barbara Jean, of Sunset Heights, Hambleton, Carroll Silas Roy of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Crystal Roy and Ben Roy, both of Elkins and Daniel Roy of Pittsburgh. Pa.
Preceding him in death was one sister, Marie Susan Roy.
He was a graduate of Parsons High School. He, along with his wife, were owners and operators of the former Roy's Poultry Farm and Roy's Produce and at the time of his retirement, he was service and lease manager for Harry Green Chevrolet. He was an amateur radio operator enthusiast. He was a Seventh-day Adventist.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Thursday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons.
