LORRAINE P. WHITE, 85, OF FRASER-WEIPPE AREA
Lorraine P. White, 85, long-time Fraser-Weippe area resident, died Saturday at the Lewiston Care Center of causes related to age.
She was born June 8, 1906, at Hendricks, W. Va., the daughter of Okey and Virginia Flanagan Jordan. When she was 6 months old, the family moved to the Fraser area between Weippe and Orofino.
She grew up and attended school at Fraser, and married Clarence White Aug. 7, 1922, in Orofino. the couple farmed at Fraser until moving to Weippe in 1970. Clarence White died May 16, 1979.
White was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, tatting, embroidery, and working in her garden. She also liked to fish.
White is survived by two brothers, Boyd R. Jordan, and Aytch Jordan, both of Lewiston; ans a sister, Agnes L. Satchwell of Kooskia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Weippe memorial Wesleyan Church in Weippe, with Rev. Don Blain officiating. Burial will follow at the Fraser Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the White Pine Rebekah Lodge No. 60 at Weippe. Pine HIlls Funeral Chapel of Orofino is in charge of arrangements.
