179Isaac Cecil Day, 70, of Glenmore died Monday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock in a local hospital, where he had been a patient for a few days.
The deceased was born in Pendleton County, March 20, 1877, a son of the late Benjamin and Betty (Hedrick) Day.
He is survived by his widow, Mary Mallow Day, a step daughter, Mrs. Macel Everhart of this city, eight sons, Glen, of Elkins; Nevin, Leonard, Earl, Gerald, and David, at home; Frank of Akron, O., Clyde of Elkins, and five daughters, Rosie, Geraldine and Betty, at home; Mrs. Delphia Humbert of Canton, O., and Mrs. Gertrude White of Alpena; three half brothers, Frank Simmons of Parsons; James Huffman of Elkins and Felix Huffman of
Whitmer; and one half sister, Mrs. Hattie Conrad of Whitmer.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of this city.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Runner Funeral Home by the Rev. Mr. Ross.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mrs. Ourtilla May Day, 65, died today at 8 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Hosptial.
She was a resident of Chenoweth Creek and a widow of Isaac Cecil Day, whose death
occured in 1947.
Born in Whitmer on Feb. 11, 1901, she was a daughter of the late George N. and Prescilla C. Mallow who survives in Whitmer.
Surviving in addition to her mother are three sons, Nevin Day of Montrose, Earl of Lewisville, Ohio, David, Gerald, and Leonard of Elkins; three stepsons, Frank, Clyde, and Glen Day of Akron, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Book, Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Rosetta Pingley, Amherst, Ohio, Mrs. Geraldine Cook, Mrs. Gertrude White and Mrs. Leerenna Everhart of Elkins; four brothers Snowden and Dellas Mallow of Whitmer, Covie and Luie Mallow of Elkins; six sisters Mrs. Twila Ellis, Weston; Mrs. Iva Roxey, Dailey, Mrs. Erma Armentrout, Mrs. Marvie Carr and Mrs. Opal Mullenex all of Elkins. There are serveral grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be in charge of the Runner-Tomblyn Funeral Home.
