WEIPPE MAN DIES AT 61
Patrick Jordan, 61, a Weippe area woodsworker and truck driver, died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill for some time, but his condition had not been considered serious. An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
Jordan drove truck, the last several years for Clyde Heywood of Weippe, and he worked in the woods for a number of years before that. He belonged to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Weippe.
He was born Aug. 28, 1908, at Fraser, Ida. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Okey Jordan. He grew up there, then spent his adult life at Weippe. He was married to Winifred Taylor May 21, 1949 at Emmett, Ida.
Survivors include his widow at the Weippe home, his mother, Mrs. Virginia Jordan, Lewiston; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Agnes) Satchwell, Kooskia; Mrs. Clarence (Lorraine) White, Weippe, and Mrs. Andrew (Manda) Schlader, Weippe, and two brothers, Aytch and Boyd R. Jordan, both of Lewiston.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Weippe Wesleyan Church with the Rev. d. Gene Whetstone officiating. Private commitment rites will be held at Vineland Cemetary, Clarkston, with Gilbert's Funeral Home of Orofino in charge.
