Weippe Family House

In 1913 a fire destroyed the cabin that they lived in.The family moved into the root cellar for the winter. There was Job, Linnie and 8 kids. They took the produce off the shelves and utilized the shelves as beds. They cooked outside. When spring arrived Job swore he would never be crowded again and built a house so huge that he didn’t finish the inside of the third story.
