James W. Boone was the son of Benjamin Howard and Susan M. Keys Boone.

He was married to Rose Liller Thomas on February 16, 1889 and the couple had 2 children, Grace and Robert Howard Boone.

According to his tombstone, James died at the age of 28 years, 11 months and 12 days. His widow, Liller and the two young children, Grace and Robert Howard Boone were survivors.

James was a member of the Woodmen of the World and of the Golden Circle. According to his obituary and the records of the Cooke County, Texas Probate Court, James left money for the support of his wife and children.

James W. Boone is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas.

Rose Liller Thomas was born in Dyer Station, Tennessee, on January 6, 1872.

Rose Liller Thomas married James W. Boone on February 16, 1889 in Cooke County, Texas. There were 2 children: Grace and Robert Boone.

Liller's husband, James W. Boone, the father of her two children, died in 1897 at the age of 21.

According to the 1900 Census for Cooke County, Texas, the two children are living in the household of their mother. Liller Boone obtained a guardianship for the children as they were minors.

The grandparents of the children were Benjamin and Susan M. Boone of Gainesville. They were involved with the care and raising of these two children.

Eventually, Liller Boone, a widow, married F. M. Brown. This marriage record has not been located. At the time of her death, Liller was living in Fort Worth, Tarrant County,Texas, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Grace Locey. Rose Liller Boone Brown is buried in the Fairview City Cemetery in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas. Her husband, F. M. Brown is also buried there. According to her obituary,Rose was a resident of Cooke County for 47 years.

The Texas Death Certificate for Rose Liller Boone Brown is below. It contains an error. It lists her father as R. H. Boone. He was her son, not her father.
